Early Life and Education

Kareem Virgo was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Accounting. However, while in college, he discovered his passion for photography, which shifted the trajectory of his career. In 2015, Kareem photographed his first wedding, marking the beginning of his journey into professional photography. Kareem often accounts his photography education as self-taught, deferring to numerous Youtube Videos and assisting established photographers in the industry.

Raised in a Jamaican household, Kareem’s upbringing in a supportive and faith-centered family played a significant role in shaping his determination and creativity. He often recalls his early entrepreneurial spirit, such as the moment he confidently told his mother at nine years old that he was ready to move out. His late mother, Angela, was a hair-stylist for over 40 years. His father, Patrick, was a well-known entrepreneur in Jamaica as a DJ and restaurant owner.

In 2015, Kareem founded REEM Photography, which stands for "Reliving Each & Every Moment," a name inspired by his wife, Sandy. The company, based in Palm Beach, Florida, quickly expanded to offer wedding and portrait photography services globally.
